Toro Furioso - Character Design

I've been trying to focus on my traditional art lately and have been enjoying 2D painting. Here I wanted to design an intimidating boxer standing in a ring waiting for his opponent. I used an angled spot light to add to the mood by making his eyes dark and his anatomy more pronounced.
I hope you like it!

This is my final concept design for the Secret Agent Challange. I wanted to take the bond car theme, fast and sexy with plenty of helpful gadgets, and develop the ultimate "spy bike." While I was hoping to have it modeled and rendered before the end of the contest, I was unfortunately delayed with undertaking of a summer class. I still have every intention of finishing it, however, and I am dying to start it once I have time. This is what it may end up looking like:

Some of you may remember the original version of this creature I made several years ago, which has now been totally revamped in ZBrush. I've been practicing with ZBrush a lot lately, and this is the first major project I have completed using the powerful software. I've always loved this creature design, originally a Games Workshop game model, and I've been dying to revamp it with all the meticulous details it deserves. Along with the many added skin details, I've also adjusted the pose to give him a more aggressive stance. I will most likely add the textures before it goes into my demo reel. I hope you like it.

With so many wheel designs out there, finding something that is truly unique and beautiful is inspiring. I was going for a studio style shot of the front end wheel and brake setup. I hope you like it.
I wanted to go for a relatively expansive scene that showed a detailed triangle shaped object tessellated over a large space. It is an abstract piece that is not really supposed to resemble anything in real life and is meant to be more visually appealing than realistic. I wanted to have two colors of lights in the scene that blended well with each other but still provided a nice contrast.

Makron IX

Greed is what brought this city to its knees. Pure, untamed greed. Makron IX, once the industrial capital of the Crimmaen Republic, was reduced to a fraction of its former glory because of the corruption its leadership was reduced to. A majority of the empire’s massive 60 million citizen population was forced to flee when the city’s defense network was allowed to collapse, an act directly linked to the financial benefit of Makron’s defense general. The great city is now barren, and only the few rich enough to acquire personal protection are left. The empire’s doom is inevitable, and with the Necros enemy having recently produced Maxon5 nukes, a memory is all that may remain of this once great acropolis.

A lot of my latest artwork has been mostly modeling focused, with little time spent on lighting or texturing. I've mostly been making high detailed models and leaving them as clay renders. But I've been in the mood to try something different lately, and have been inspired by a lot of the great 2D art on CGTalk. I wanted to try and make a dark and foreboding scene with an artistic style. I decided to go with a futuristic prison scene because it gave me a lot of room for creativity and provided that darker setting I wanted.
I hope you like it.
