I'm a big car fanatic, and as soon as I saw this wheel design on the Maserati GranTurismo, I knew I had to try and model it. With so many wheel designs out there, finding something that is truly unique and beautiful is inspiring. I was going for a studio style shot of the front end wheel and brake setup. I hope you like it.

I was in the mood to do an abstract piece and I got the idea for something like this. I wanted to go for a relatively expansive scene that showed a detailed triangle shaped object repeated over a large space. It is an abstract piece that is not really supposed to resemble anything in real life and is meant to be more visually appealing than realistic. I wanted to have two colors of lights in the scene that blended well with each other but still provided a nice contrast.

A lot of my latest artwork has been mostly modeling focused, with little time spent on lighting or texturing. I've mostly been making high detailed models and leaving them as clay renders. But I've been in the mood to try something different lately, and have been inspired by a lot of the great 2D art on CGTalk. I wanted to try and make a dark and foreboding scene with an artistic style. I decided to go with a futuristic prison scene because it gave me a lot of room for creativity and provided that darker setting I wanted.
I hope you like it.
It's a large resin model made by forgeworld. You can see my reference images here. I decided to model it because I loved its design and I knew it would be a fun challenge.

Here is the first model I have completed for the XTIN project. It is a Pyramid Gun Boat and will be featured in our preview trailer. I've put a lot of work into this one, but I think the results speak for themselves. I won't be handling the textures, but I will post the textured version when I receive it. The original concept for this ship was created by our director, Jeremy Ray.
This is my first organic character that I have finished. I have learned a lot, including LSCM uvmapping, and organic modeling techniques.
Please let me know what you think.
